Today’s craft takes something almost every kid loves – pizza – and divides up your role as a believer into slices. Acts 2:42 says, “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” Kids need to know that believing in Jesus is more than just going to church. It’s doing life.
Talk to your students about the following things: breaking of bread, showing others Jesus’ love, prayer, putting God first, praising God, teaching, fellowship, and telling others about Jesus. Give them examples of how they can do these things at home or school or wherever. It needs to be built into their lives so it becomes a natural habit.
- one pizza paper per child Acts 2 42
- crayons, scissors, glue
- a tablecloth
Do what you think is easier, either color first or cut things out. Then, glue down the pieces and put the pizza together.
Broken into slices, (which are more manageable then trying to shove the whole pie in your mouth!) this craft will allow the kids to see how they might already be doing some of these jobs. Have fun!
