Doesn’t a song just run through your head when you hear that? Shouldn’t we teach our children to freely worship and to praise in song? This little craft today is so simple, yet it carries a big message: Praise God and let Him and others hear you!
- one verse card per child Psalm 150
- one paper plate per child
- baggie to put rice or beans in
- crayons, glue
- tablecloth to keep the table clean
- possibly a broom!
Let the kids put about 2 teaspoons of rice in the baggie and then seal it. They can fold their plate in half and decorate each side. Next glue on the verse. Then, with some adult help fold the plate, put the bag inside and staple it shut. Be sure you don’t flatten the plate or else your stuff won’t shake!
We let our kids go back into the service during the last song. You bet these were shaking. What a great accompaniment! I did this over 250 first graders one year and it was a blast. Hope you have fun praising God!
